The food served in the restaurant shines with fresh, generous portions, particularly the fish dishes which left a lasting impression. This hotel retains a charming, traditional vibe that probably draws in the locals, creating a lively atmosphere quite enjoyable after a long day.
The room, set in what used to be stables, felt cramped and lacked natural light, with only a tiny skylight for illumination. Noise levels were a consistent issue. Sounds from adjacent rooms were clearly audible, and a persistent motor noise interfered with sleep. Accessibility presents a challenge as well. Awkwardly placed steps next to the bed seemed unnecessary. For the price, the room lacks amenities to justify the cost, leading to potential disappointment for those seeking more comfort.

The electric shower was a bit temperamental, but the fruit buffet alongside a delicious cooked breakfast made mornings fantastic. Gaz and his wife created a welcoming atmosphere that truly felt like home.

Charming village location, historical pub charm, vibrant outdoor space
The small rooms felt excessively cramped!!! Noise from the beer garden and nearby areas made it tough to relax after a long day. A fan for warm weather would also be a simple, effective addition!!!

We had a lovely stay! The Stables was spotless and cozy, and the comfy beds guaranteed our family a good night's sleep. The location added charm. We enjoyed cycling nearby. Plus, the local pub atmosphere was cute.
For dads, it would be great if there were more kid-friendly activities available.

We had a fantastic time on our group trip, with great access to cycling around the village and enjoying the lovely gardens. The warm atmosphere made us feel right at home! As a tip, check for breakfast options since they were a bit limited during our stay, but definitely try the breakfast if they have it open—it’s excellent.
One of our friends had a less pleasant experience in their room, which was quite small and didn’t meet expectations based on the pub's charm. It really detracted from the fun mood of our trip.

We had a cozy night in a lovely double room and enjoyed the delicious homemade fajitas in the pub. The outdoor area with heaters was perfect for relaxing after dinner. Just a heads-up, since the chef was off, we had to find dinner elsewhere, but there are options just a short drive away! 😊

would have stayed for longer
Clean and cozy double room with a private bathroom. It had a flat-screen TV, kettle for tea/coffee, and plenty of towels. Good location with easy access to local attractions. The pub had delicious food, and the breakfast was a full English, sadly we missed it. Great stay overall!

quiet stay with a lovely breakfast but slightly distant location
The double room was charming, offering a unique atmosphere reminiscent of old stables. I appreciated the room's privacy, which was ideal for my late-night work commitments.
The B&B is a bit away from local attractions, making it less convenient for spontaneous outings.

Charming Village Stay with Room for Improvement
Our stay was cozy yet compact. The local pub offered delightful bar snacks, but we encountered delays in service during peak hours. The room was snug with character, but some basic cleanliness issues detracted from our experience. Opt for dining during quieter times for a better experience!

A Cozy Retreat with Delightful Dining
Had a lovely stay for one night! The room was cozy, and I appreciated the exceptional attention to detail in the dining options. I enjoyed sausage and mash for lunch, which exceeded my expectations for pub food. Make sure to check for evening meal bookings in advance!

The fruit buffet was a delightful start to each day, perfectly complementing the expertly cooked breakfast. Gaz and his wife really know how to make you feel at home! Plus, the meals at the pub were varied and downright delicious.
The electric shower was a bit of a drama queen—one minute it’s scalding, next it’s lukewarm! And while the room got quite chilly at night, it wasn’t enough to dampen the experience.
